Kanyakumari Rural Development Society (KARD) is a voluntary Organisation working exclusively for the persons with disabilities (PWDs). Having registered under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, in the year 1985, we have been working for the 'Total Rehabilitation' of the poor, downtrodden and neglected disabled people.

Good Samaritan Home for the Aged (GSHA)

We started the Good Samaritan Home for the Aged with this mission and vision to rehabilitate the abandoned elderly people. We provide residential care in this building to the elders who are wandering about in the streets of our area.

Spastics Centre of Kanyakumari (SPASTI)

Spastics Centre of Kanyakumari (SPASTI) is a residential Adult Home for the mentally challenged adult boys who are orphaned and abandoned in the streets of Nagercoil Municipal Area. KARD has been running this home from the year 1999.

School For The Mentally Retarded (SMR)

``SMR`` is a residential Adult Home for the abandoned mentally disabled girls, where thirty eight mentally challenged adult girls stay for vocational training and the needed therapies.

To provide rehabilitation services in their own community itself by their own community people themselves, we implement CBR programs for the persons with disabilities in some villages of Kanyakumari District.
